The Bryan Memorial Gallery in Jeffersonville, Vermont selected a group of artists to be in their    January 21 through February 27 “Today’s Legacy” exhibition. The concept for the exhibition was “to feature several outstanding artists whose work made an impact on the gallery in 2010”. Shown below is one of four paintings I had  in the exhibit.

                               “Cold November Day”

I’m one of the group of artists which in 2006 the Muskegon Museum of Art coined “The West Michigan Eight”. We have had five exhibits throughout Michigan and are now having our sixth at the Inner City Christian Federation’s office building on Cherry Street in Grand Rapids.  Here are two of my five paintings in the show. The exhibit runs until April 14.

“Water Barrels on a French Farm”

“Rainy Night in Eastown”

Two paintings of mine were accepted in the Great Lakes Pastel Society membership show at The Carnegie Center in Three Rivers, Michigan.  The show runs from March 3rd through April 9.

“Pleasant Day in Pleasant Valley”

“Mist on the Mountain”

Was also fortunate to have this painting accepted in the West Michigan Regional Art Competition at the Lowell Area Arts Council in Lowell, Michigan.  Exhibition runs from February 22 through April 8.

As a personal challenge, this painting was completely painted using only vertical pastel strokes.

This painting was also my entry in the Grand Rapids ArtPrize 2010 exhibition.

“The Old Mill”
